COVID-19 Restrictions in Place - Updated February 09, 2022

REP requirements removed from City owned and operated facilities

Effective immediately, the City of Lethbridge will no longer require proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter or use City owned and operated buildings.

In accordance with the Government of Alberta, public health measures will be phased out in 3 steps, beginning with lower-risk activities.

Easing Measures - Step 1

  • •Restrictions Exemption Program removed, along with most associated restrictions.

  • •Capacity limits in large facilities and entertainment venues (500+) remain in place, but food and beverages now allowed in seats.

  • •Capacity limits for locations not covered under the REP program are removed.

  • •Mandatory masking requirements removed for children 12 and under in all settings as of February 14, 2022.

  • •Mandatory masking requirements removed for children and youth in schools for any age as of February 14, 2022.

At this time, anyone 13 years and older entering an indoor recreation facility must continue to follow mandatory masking requirements and physical distancing guidelines.

Sports Fields

Did you know you have over 140 bookable sports fields available including a Premium Sports Field in North Lethbridge?

The Lethbridge Sports Park consists of 6 fields, washroom facilities and a picnic shelter all in an enclosed compound. This is a premier soccer and rugby facility and is available for game and tournament play.

Sports Fields are available to book between April and October (weather permitting).

Booking Deadlines:
  • Seasonal Use - March 15
  • Tournaments - November 01
Here are some important details for booking your fields:
  • If you think your field may be cancelled due to inclement weather, check the Rainout Line at (403) 320-4974 (updates are made to the rainout line by 2pm daily)
  • Please leave your pets at home, as pets are not allowed on sports fields at any time
  • Alcohol is not permitted at any time
