COVID-19 Restrictions in Place

Alberta has declared a state of public health emergency. COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations continue to rise, largely in unvaccinated Albertans. On September 14, 2021, the Province of Alberta announced that new measures to protect the health care system, stop the spread, and increase vaccination rates have come into effect.

In order to follow the Government of Alberta’s COVID-19 public health guidelines, anyone aged 12 and over must be able to show one of the following before entering the Helen Schuler Nature Centre starting September 28, 2021 until further notice:

  • Proof of COVID-19 vaccination

Proof of first vaccination required for entry up to October 25, 2021. Proof of second vaccination required for entry after October 25, 2021.

  • Proof of a negative COVID-19 test

Privately-paid negative PCR or rapid test within 72 hours of entry (tests from AHS or Alberta Precision Laboratories not allowed)

  • Documentation of medical exemption

Anyone entering the Helen Schuler Nature Centre must follow mandatory masking requirements and physical distancing guidelines.
